Practice mailbox

Chairside connects to Google Workspace and Gmail with OAuth 2.0. With your practice's permission, patient-facing follow-ups send from your practice mailbox, appear in its Sent folder, and keep replies in the inbox your team already monitors.

Reply sync is intentionally narrow in what Chairside surfaces. During Gmail history polling, the Gmail API can return newly added inbox message data, which Chairside inspects before it applies thread matching. By default, only a reply whose thread matches a Chairside outbound message reaches the matching patient and follow-up; unrelated inbox mail is filtered and is not surfaced or ingested. Separate administrator opt-ins for cold-inbound capture and Google referral capture are required for new non-reply capture. Microsoft 365 is supported through the same practice-owned approach.
