The short version of getting set up — five steps from signing in to filing your first real note.

The path

Chairside turns a recorded or typed encounter into a finished clinical note, a referral letter, and a plain-English patient summary — each cited back to what was actually said. Here's the short path through your first week.

  1. Set up your practice profile: Add your sign-off, logo, brand color, and voice so every draft comes out looking and sounding like your practice.
  2. Capture your first encounter: Record live, upload audio, or paste a transcript — then Analyze it.
  3. Review and sign the note: Read the draft, check the citations, edit anything, and sign. Nothing files without you.
  4. Connect your practice management system: Link your PMS so eligibility syncs in and finished notes write back to the chart where write-back is supported.

You don't have to finish everything at once. The setup checklist at the top of the app tracks where you are and picks up where you left off.
