What connecting does

A connected PMS lets Chairside read the records your system makes available, and — where supported — write the finished note back into the patient's chart after you sign.

Where notes write back today

  • Dentrix (G7): the finished note is written as a native clinical note.
  • Dentrix Enterprise, Eaglesoft, and Open Dental: the finished note is filed into the chart as an attached document.
  • Cloud9, Dolphin, and NexHealth: read-only sync — no clinical-note write-back.
  1. Open Integrations: An admin or owner links the practice's system.
  2. Authorize the connection: Follow the prompts for your practice management system.
  3. Confirm the link is live: Chairside reports a system as connected only once it can actually read from it — so a green status means it really works.

Write-back is gated per connection and always happens after you sign — Chairside never files an unsigned note.
